Krishna Valley Temple
(# 86)
Images Description Credits
The project’s sponsors visualized the transformation of virgin High Desert soil into a place of worship for a growing Hindu community.  The development of the Temple furnished a “place” for religious, social, cultural, and educational gatherings.  Krishna Valley Temple design concepts were modern-day expressions of century-old traditional philosophies.  Thus, the architecture of this Hindu Temple incorporates traditional symbolism such as cosmic orientations, light-to-darkness, open-to-confined, and pure geometric forms and shapes into the core design.

The Cultural Center is open to the public, and people of all religious affiliations are welcomed.  An objective of the Krishna Valley Temple is to promote religious understanding based on peace, love, truth and harmony, to promote friendship and good will amongst all people.  The success of this project has paved the way to a new major addition to the Temple; the orderly growth of the Temple is slated to start construction in 2015.
