Ernest McBride High School
(# 118)
Images Description Credits
McBride is the districtís first small thematic high school and is in contrast to their existing comprehensive 4000 student campuses. This place is intended to be different! A collaborative approach to the design involved local business partners, research of emerging technologies, and development of new curriculum to redefine the districtís development and education standards. Through internships and projects with local businesses, the school fosters student engagement by knowing students well and building a strong sense of community.

McBride High will offer rigorous coursework focused on making graduateís college and career-ready in three high-demand fields: Health/Medical, Law Enforcement/Legal Services, and Engineering. Designed to serve 1,000 students, the 150,000 SF school will have 43 classrooms in seven buildings surrounding a campus promenade. The campus is a high-tech and energy efficient environment with flexible features to support student learning and success.
