| This project is a non-traditional workplace that serves as headquarters for a Spanish language advertising company. Located adjacent to the pier in Huntington Beach, the project's design pairs elements of its robust office culture with that of its vibrant surroundings.
Broad programming and flexible-use recreational spaces accommodate activities for the office community as well as the community-at-large. A dynamic layering of program, comprising a amphitheater stair and conference rooms that hover over an open work space, fuel a workflow rooted in interdisciplinary interactions. A budget-conscious resourcefulness played a significant role in project approach; re-purposed sunbrellas allude to the beach as well as the umbrellas of photography studios while they functionally conceal fire protection and brighten the interior space.
This multifaceted and engaging design cultivates an environment that feels as much like a community hub as it does a workplace. |
