Located overlooking Blythe, one of the hottest climates in California, its high diurnal temperature swings are taken to advantage with insulated High Thermal Mass construction, Daylighting, a high efficiency central plant, and photovoltaics. It employs a novel code interpretation to create a highly flexible "indoor campus" mall setting. The project already achieves AIA National's goal of Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050 with its balance of a 9 acre photovoltaic array and energy conservation.
