The Recognition Awards will be presented in three categories this year and nominations are invited from all P&F AIA Chapter members. There is no entry fee. The Awards will recognize practitioners (with projects located) or (whose firms are located) within the chapter that demonstrate exceptional service to the architectural community. |

|
|

Awarded to an individual or firm with a career of exceptional contributions to the field of architecture. |

Russell Hobbs, AIA |
|
|
|
|
In recognition for his many years of service to the profession and to the Chapter, the Pasadena and Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects does hereby bestow the Lifetime Achievement Award to Russel Hobbs, AIA. Hobbs was History Committee Chairman. He produced a “Book of Memories” chronicling and highlighting the Womens’ Architectural League activities since 1951 and helped to stimulate greater public interest in and understanding of the architectural profession, and its capacity to be of service to the community.

Dr. Robert Winter |

|
In recognition of excellence the design and execution of architecture and fostering the education & appreciation of architecture, the Pasadena & Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects does hereby bestow this Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Robert Winter. Through education, authorship of numerous books and guides, he has taught and engaged the public in the appreciation of the Craftsman style.
Winter is one of California's leading architectural historians. He is the Arthur G. Coons Professor of the History of Ideas, Emeritus, at Occidental College, Los Angeles. He is particularly known for his contributions to the history of the California branch of the Arts and Crafts Movement. He received his undergraduate degree (A.B.) from Dartmouth College and his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He has taught at Dartmouth, at Bowdoin College, the University of California, Los Angeles and Occidental College |

Awarded to an individual or firm for an exceptional building or group of buildings within the chapter area that is at least 25 years old. |
