Crafton Hills College New Instructional Building (# 236) |
|
|
Crafton Hills College, renowned for its iconic architecture by E. Stewart Williams, has introduced a new 30,000-square-foot instructional building, replacing the former performing arts center. This facility houses the Student Tutoring Center, Honors Institute, Visual Arts Department, Art Gallery, and flexible general assignment spaces. Located at the campus's heart, it blends seamlessly with the existing brutalist architecture and landscape. Overcoming a 44-foot elevation change, the three-story building features prominent glazing, outdoor learning spaces, and sustainable design elements. Aiming for LEED Gold Certification, the project enhances educational experiences and reinforces the college’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. |
