(# 419)
Images Description Credits
The firm served as the local architect of record in collaboration efforts for the redesign of high-rise office space.  The client desired an open ceiling, contemporary theme for the private higher educational facility.
The 14,000 SF facility includes a large lobby, Instructional spaces with six classrooms, multi-purpose room and computer lab. Students enjoy a lounge and refreshment area, large kitchen and flexible seating space. Administration and faculty enjoy private and open offices, break rooms and private conference rooms. Building restrooms were expanded to continue the contemporary theme.
Challenges included managing the collaboration efforts of stakeholders, designers and suppliers from across the country to accomplish programming, space planning and finish selection tasks. Opportunities included an exposed structural ceiling and existing mechanical systems. CUP and Fire Department approvals were required due to increased occupant load and demand on building infrastructure.
