Specific Use of Building Restaurant / Lounge
Project Location 1411 Market st. San Francisco, California
Restaurant  and lounge with Modern American cuisine and Indian fusion was the premises of this project.  located in a new Modern building in San Francisco Tech center. Client requested a modern space warm / appealing with  unique character to each area. we wanted to take advantage of Indian character of the project using patterns and details taken from India, however treat them in a modern way.
pattern were transferred into a 3 dimensional sculptural wall facing the main dining area, yarns were used to create the shape of the patterns into this element. the wood ceiling plays with the direction of the flow from the main entry through the dining area. An exhibition kitchen is flanked by two fire elements creating yet another unique space. the lounge walls create a pattern with binary number etched into the wall, ceiling covered with brass horizontal raceways depicting information highway all paying homage to the Tech clientele, yet lighting fixtures reflect a by gone era. the exterior façade was created by using Metal panel systems reminiscent of circuit boards on one side and perforated system allowing light to flow through the glazing system beyond.
