The project required the structure not to exceed 14 feet above street level elevation, therefore the lower level of the house was excavated below the street level. the house is facing a 180 degree ocean and coastline views the modern open plan allowed maximum advantage of the ocean views as well as allowing spaces to take advantage of an inside/outside condition
Textures and finishes allowed warmer feel to a modern home as well as creating a solid element providing the desired street level privacy
The views of the lower level are framed by the infinity edge of the pool that spans the width of the property. The play from inside outside space and the placement of the building allows light not only in the front face of the building but penetrating deep into the rear portion of the lower level.
Floor plan allows for a open airy feel to each space as well as allowing light and view penetration into the building.
