Unbuilt
Pool-side Pavilion
Images Description Credits
We were approached by the client to design and built an outdoor structure in place of an existing wood-framed structure in the back yard of this common sub-urban house in the foothills of Burbank, Califonria.  The design concept was derived from the physical properties, proportions, and measurements of the existing swimming pool.  Pool's dimensions and physical properties were translated and rotated along axes created based on the specific zoning regulations of the area, creating a three-dimentional frame of work, from which the structure was evolved and created.  Construction material consists of mainly 4"X7" painted tube steel frame, wide-flange steel beam trellis structure, internally-lit polycarbonate hollow wall panels, and corrugated roof paneling over the cantilevered carport structure.
