21st Century Educational Facility
In response to the emerging needs of non-traditional students that balance careers and family while advancing their education, a private University requested a prototype design for satellite locations of their Online and Professional Studies program. The scope included the build-out of one location at Temecula’s Promenade Mall.
The 21st century learning facilities offer evening classes as well as online support. The space program consists of high tech classrooms with Telepresence, a Webex room (web-enabled conference room), a lounge, offices, and support facilities. While technologically advanced the atmosphere of the 3,000 square foot facility was to be relaxed, warm, and comfortable.
The budget for this project was $300,000 and included exterior glazing and stone facade.
The major challenge was a fast-track schedule with only four months for design, approval process and construction. The project was completed in September 2012.
