The 2026 Clare Henry Day, FAIA / AIA Inland California Design Awards celebrate outstanding architectural design within Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The program recognizes excellence in both built and unbuilt work, highlighting innovation, design quality, and meaningful contributions to the built environment.
The program is open to AIA members of the AIA Inland California (AIAIC) and AIA California Desert Chapter (AIACDC). Members of these chapters may submit projects regardless of project location. AIA members from other chapters may submit projects that are located within the AIAIC and AIACDC regions. Non-AIA members whose projects are located within the same boundaries are also encouraged to submit.
For the 2026 cycle, submissions will be reviewed by a jury of distinguished architects from across the country. Projects will be evaluated based on design excellence, creativity, technical achievement, and overall impact.

Jury Awards
The jury will determine awards within each category, including:
• First Place
• Second Place
• Third Place
• Honor Awards (Up to 5)

People’s Choice Recognition
The program will also feature a People’s Choice voting component, allowing participants and members to select their favorite projects from those submitted through the design awards platform. Up to ten People’s Choice Honor Awards will be presented.
The Design Awards program provides an opportunity to showcase exceptional work from across our region and to celebrate the architects and design teams shaping our communities.
