Riverside Convention Center
(# 41)
Images Description Credits
The project includes design and construction for the renovation and expansion of an existing convention center constructed in 1972. Located in an urban downtown context, the original design, functionality and building systems are inadequate and redevelopment of the entire facility is required to meet current market demands.

The project incorporates 75,000 sq.ft. of new program space expanding exhibit hall and meeting room capacity. Other components include a new concourse, lobby, restrooms, kitchen and service/loading areas. The center will have a new exterior facade that will rebrand the complex to reflect the visual attributes of the local community.

As part of the City's downtown core redevelopment, the new civic space with enhanced hardscape, landscape, gathering areas and improved access to an adjacent hotel is key to creating a revitalized destination.

The project utilizes a design-build delivery method and construction completion is anticipated in January 2014.
