UC Riverside Student Recreation Center Expansion

| Addressing the needs of a growing campus, this new student recreation expansion project has been designed to support the physical well-being of its students and provide a new campus hub for social and academic interaction. The project includes additional recreation and support spaces and fully integrates with an existing building to create a unified recreation environment. Conceived as a "bridge", the addition preserves an existing pedestrian thoroughfare while connecting seamlessly with the University’s existing facilities. Interior spaces capture a broad range of views across campus and beyond to the surrounding mountains. The open concept creates dynamic relationships between various programmatic components enhancing the building’s potential as a place for social engagement and supporting the connection between mind and body. The project achieves exemplary energy performance and is on target for LEED Gold Certification. |
