| Renovation of the 1925 Kern Residence by George Washington Smith. Additions and changes by the former owner, Rod Stewart, were not in the style of the original house and were remodeled. These alterations included the conversion of the over scaled Disco with Art Nouveau details to a Venetian Palazzo Ballroom, the remodel of the Kitchen and Maid's Rooms into a Kitchen/Family Room area, and the redesign of the flat-roofed elevator shaft on the front of house to a Mediterranean Style tower. |
