The entry to the park is highlighted with a 25 foot high triangular tower structure that serves as a focal point for the location.  The entry emphasis provides two shallow refreshing water features that could also be created in a blue glass material to express the essence of water.  Upon entering the park a transitional experience is created through a corridor into the park like retreat.

    This entry provides a transition from the busy street environment to the park created by a transition that involves both time and space.

    My intention was to create a peaceful park area that was partly hidden from view as it is approached and entered.  Once within the park a variety of views and spatial experiences are available.  This location can serve the neighborhood for group gatherings or small parties or for individual relaxation.   The triangular shape is used to form the sculptural focal point and the overhead planes of the transitional corridor.  Within the park raised triangular areas serve as seating locations or visual elements.

    I created this design as a part of a first semester design course.   This is a design concept that does not involve specific materials at this time.
