Beaumont Elementary School (# 117) |
The design for Beaumont ES #1 began with a commitment to communication. This commitment proved important when the initial site location was determined to be unusable due to its location below the base flood plan. Months were spect testing new locations while accounting for the Districts budget.
The districts priority was to create flexible and collaborative environments. This took shaped in villages arranged around a courtyard with play zones and outdoor classroom breakout areas. Each village features a centralized universal collaboration zone and is dotted with unique design features that form unique experiences for students. Imagine students storming outside to watch a movie about volcanoes on the outdoor screen, or a class being held outside on a beautiful day. These moments wouldnt be possible without the organic Integration of different learning & discovery environments. |
