Project Location |

Acting as a progressive space, the Schindler-Chase House addition takes the core ideas and materials used to form Rudolf Schindler’s original design and carefully transforms them into a design informed by today's technology and the context of the site. To create an indoor-outdoor living space for a third family, this design analyzes Schindler’s architectural theory and language carefully, copies it, and progresses to transition it in a new architectural language by actively equipping materials, form, and light. It speaks to the past while finding relevance with the present. |
