With a mission to promote wellness, self-sufficiency, and a better quality of life to the families of this community, this design is inspired by the local natural resources it’s designed to protect. Using zero fossil fuels and being powered entirely by the sun, this LEED Platinum ZNE (certification pending) facility is designed to perform 30% better than Title 24, and the 307kW onsite PV-array generates 450,000 kWh/yr (110% of energy target). The building summons natural light and ocean breezes creating a built environment that emphasizes improved workplace health, productivity, and well-being. Located on a street corner where a surge of development is transforming the neighborhood, this project serves as a beacon of hope and transformation to the community, enhancing the pedestrian experience and connecting to public transportation.
