Corona-Norco Unified School District asked us to help give this campus an identity. This was one of the few District campuses that had not undergone any modernization. As Districts build new campuses in new residential developments, well-established communities with their 40 to 60-year old campuses are left wondering when their much-needed upgrades will occur. Whether it be adequate space, visual aesthetics, or state-of-the-art technology, across the board equity is longed for. Garretson Elementary had outgrown its walls. While most schools were experiencing a decline in enrollment, the Garretson community was seeing an opposite trend. Shifts in the local population and the resulting need are variables that caused this anomaly.
