J. Riley Distillery (# 233) |
|
|
The J. Riley Distillery exemplifies adaptive reuse by transforming the historic Redlands Auto Electric Building into a boutique whiskey distillery with a new restaurant and outdoor event area. Part of the Redlands Packing House District in Downtown Redlands, this project integrates a modern distillery with a restaurant, sharing a communal outdoor courtyard and parking with the neighboring Escape Brewery. The design harmonizes old and new structures, addressing floodplain requirements and complementing the historic setting. Sustainability features include photovoltaic panels, high-efficiency fixtures, and recycled materials. This revitalization merges historical preservation with modern functionality, creating a vibrant, sustainable community destination. |
