Redeveloping the eastern side of a 1960s campus, this interdisciplinary multi-building complex sets a new precedent at MiraCosta College.
MiraCosta College is known for a welcoming culture that has defined its student experience for nearly six decades. Yet much of its aging building stock lacked the performance and health-oriented approach to support its future. The new Health and Wellness Hub brings together an interdisciplinary mix of allied health, kinesiology, health, and nutrition programs along with campus athletics in a unified complex of three new buildings, each interwoven with intimate courtyards, abundant daylighting, and intrinsically connected around a shared central outdoor collaborative space. |
