Museum of Japanese Contemporary Art (# 210) |
|
|
An assemblage of clear interlocking figures organize program within. The restrained focus to bring figure as the main initial read results in a design that intrigues viewers solely through the curiosity of curved form. The two main participating figures are apparent from each elevation by a slight offset in depth. They are self similar with one originating from plan, while the other from section. The only curves in this project are found within these two interlocking shapes serving as the directors of promenade as their datums resonate throughout the structure. |
