The 19-acre headquarters is one of the world’s largest, most advanced emissions testing and research facilities and the largest onsite net-zero energy facility in the USA. Consolidating five locations and 450 employees, it sets remarkable new standards for energy use, operational efficiency, and positive user experience despite the highly complex program of light- and heavy-duty emissions testing, specialized chemistry laboratories, workplace, employee amenities, and events and education spaces.

Designed to exceed aesthetic expectations, as well as net-zero energy, carbon, and emissions goals, the building’s futuristic form is a mix of raw and refined, stealthy and yet statuesque, reflecting the industrial yet innovative nature of the work housed within.

This project also features the world’s largest collection of public art dedicated to climate change.
