Since the 1950s, Andys has been woven into the fabric of Chino, California - a family business passed down through generations, serving a community that has grown up around it. When the time came to build a permanent new home, the design had to honor that legacy while giving the business a confident, contemporary identity. The result is a 5,000-square-foot fast casual restaurant that rejects suburban commercial anonymity in favor of honest materiality and civic presence. By day, floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the dining room to the neighborhood it has served for decades. By night, it becomes a warm lantern - a beacon of belonging in an otherwise ordinary commercial landscape.
