Puente Biblio-Tech-Ca
(# 181)
Images Description Credits
Puente Biblio.Tech.Ca. is a physical bridge, cultural connector, community hub, and link to opportunities that lie beyond the community of South-Central Los Angeles. The project proposes a programmed bridge joining the bifurcated halves of Florence and Graham. The bridge will engage both sides of the bisected neighborhood by reintroducing valuable resources back into the community. The new development consists of three primary program components. The project will incorporate a properly illuminated, pedestrian safety, and ADA compliant passage that spans the light and heavy rails that divide the Florence and Graham community.

Puente Biblio-Tech-Ca is more than a bridge or library; it is a valuable resource that unifies the community around a common identity; it is a bridge that joins a severed community on multiple fronts.
